What is cricket stumping?

Cricket stumping is a method of dismissing a batsman in cricket. It occurs when the wicket-keeper removes the bails from the stumps with the ball in hand, while the batsman is outside the crease and not grounded. The wicket-keeper must have complete control over the ball, and the dismissal is confirmed only when the bails have been completely removed from the stumps. The stumping dismissal is considered as one of the most difficult skills in cricket, as the wicket-keeper has to judge the movement of the ball, the balance of the batsman, and the timing of the dismissal. It requires a combination of excellent reflexes, sharp cricketing instincts, and technical ability to successfully execute a stumping in cricket.
